 |
Enjoy a Musical cruise: entirely dedicated to the famous Polish composer Frédéric Chopin.
Appreciate Warsaw: ancestral splendour of the residences of Polish kings.
Discover Berlin: a fascinating, multi-faceted city that is constantly evolving.
Itinerary
Your first port of call will be the town of Visby, an open air museum and administrative centre of the Pearl of the Baltic.
Then, journey brings you to Gdansk, a major trading centre for the teutonic knights which has preserved some magnificent monuments from this distinguished period.
Le Diamant then moves on to Rugen island from where you can visit Stralsund, one of the Hanseatic capitals, before we head for the port of Rostock. From here you have the opportunity to visit Berlin, a multi-faceted cosmopolitan city interspersed with spacious parkland, which is forever renewing itself.
And finally the former capital and queen of the Hanseatic League unveils the secrets of her magnificent old town, home to many superb 15th and 16th Century residences.
CRUISING TO THE TUNE OF A MAZURKA
Warsaw will of course be the rendez-vous that few will want to miss out on.
Buoyed by memories of the famous composer, the old city reveals all its secrets.
We will be visiting the lovely Royal Lazienki Park to see the imposing monument
built in memory of Frédéric Chopin. Then we call in to the Church of Saint Croix
where the composer’s heart lies, before heading to the Ostrogski Palace. Lastly,
we follow the road to the village of Zelazowa Wola to explore the small manor
house where Chopin was born in 1810. Furnished as it would have been then
and full of souvenirs, the house retains the atmosphere in which he would have
grown up.
