From the Grand Canal to the Corinth Canal
Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece aboard Le Levant
8 Days / 7 Nights • Aug. 12, 2010
Venice, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, the spectacular sacred temple of Delphes, Athens… All the Mediterranean secrets and wonders invit you for a magical cruise on board Le Levant ! Their splendour and romantism will make your cruise unforgettable !

PIRAN
Discover the perfectly-formed old town of Piran between Venice and Vienna. The city has preserved its medieval character with its narrow streets and tightly packed houses. An exceptional position and rich cultural heritage have long proved to be irresistible to history enthusiasts.

KORNATI ARCHIPELAGO
The Kornati Islands are scattered along the north Dalmatian Coast. Several hundred islands and islets, nearly all deserted, rise up out of the sea creating an extraordinarily coloured world. Le Levant will be brushing past these isolated territories, leaving you with some wonderful memories.

TROGIR
The city of Trogir is like a museum town, so rich and diversified is its heritage. Narrow cobblestone streets, elegant palaces and above all its magnificent cathedral have earned it a place on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. It is from here that you can discover Split, the former imperial residence and home to Diocletian’s famous Palace.

DUBROVNIK
The walled city of Dubrovnik built on a rock battered by the waves has preserved all its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments. Its palaces, monuments and white stone churches are in perfect harmony. Long considered as a rival to Venice, traces of its illustrious past are to be found throughout the city which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

KOTOR
The lovely fortified town of Kotor is located at the end of a complex series of bays surrounded by limestone massifs in a magnificent region of Montenegro. An impressive city wall conceals the alleyways and palaces of a well preserved medieval centre. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the town is equally famous for its colourful folk festivals.

OTRANTO
Almost on the tip of the heel of Italy’s boot lies the peaceful town of Otranto. A Greek and Roman city, it was also one of the most important centres of Byzantine culture in the Middle Ages. Cradled in the curve of a natural bay of crystal clear water, this small borough is the perfect spot for lazing around or going for a swim.

CORINTH CANAL AND ITEA
A grandiose impressive work of art linking the Ionian and Aegean Seas, the Corinth Canal is the fruit of a dream dating back to ancient times. The Emperor Nero had at one time envisaged its creation. From Itea we enter the immaculately preserved sacred site of the Delphi Valley. Clinging to the side of the mountain, the white ruins of Apollo’s famous sanctuary rise up out of the pines.
