The unfading magic of Aegean coastlines in the summer:
Piraeus (Athens) - Kusadasi (Izmir)
aboard Sea Cloud
8 Days / 7 Nights • July 31, 2010
Athens

Piraeus/Greece - Sat. 31 July
Individual arrival in Athens. Embarkation on the Sea Cloud. Departure: 17.00 hours

Milos/Cyclades/Greece - Sun. 1 Aug.
Drop anchor: 14.00 hours. Cliffs of every colour and brilliantly white houses the famous sunshine of the Cyclades bathes town and country, sky and sea in an almost other-worldly light. Let the afternoon pass you by in the little port. Lift anchor: 18.00 hours

Thira/Santorini/Greece - Mon. 2 Aug.
Drop anchor: 06.00 hours. Early risers are rewarded by the spectacular arrival into the caldera of Santorini. But the beauty of this legendary volcanic island will still be there when the others wake.
Our island tour* takes us to the village of Oia, which many believe is the most beautiful place on the island. The white houses seem to cling to the steep hillside, cave houses have been lovingly restored, and fowers bloom everywhere. Lift anchor: 13.30 hours

At Sea - Tue. 3 Aug.
The crew sets sail, and the eagle at the ship’s bow soars majestically over the blue sea.

Marmaris/Turkey - Wed. 4 Aug.
Arrival: 13.30 hours. Marmaris in the Turkish Aegean was used as a port as long ago as the ancient times. At that time, there was another port to compete with Kaunos, which is now eight kilometres (fve miles) inland. Our excursion is to the ancient ruins around the landlocked port and to the Lycian cliff tombs*. Departure: 24.00 hours

Rhodes/Greece - Thur. 5 Aug.
Arrival: 08.00 hours. A walk around the old town* will reveal that the Knights of St John of Jerusalem were once the chivalrous lords of the island. The time of the Crusaders is brought to life by the city walls, the Palace of the Grand Master and, of course, the Knights’ Road. Departure: 13.30 hours

Patmos/Dodecanese - Fri. 6 Aug.
Drop anchor: 08.00 hours. The beautiful island of Patmos was where the Apocalypse of St John was written. Our excursion is to the Monastery of St John*. The building resembles a fortress, and is one of the most important sites of the Greek Orthodox faith. Lift anchor: 13.30 hours

Kusadasi/Turkey - Sat. 7 Aug.
Arrival: 07.00 hours. Individual departure.

Itinerary subject to change!
* These excursions are not included in the cruise-only rate.
