This property, conceived and designed by a locally born London graduate and artist, is situated along the ancient Roman road and old narrow-gauge railway ("La Parenzana") which, a century ago, connected the coastal resort of Porec with the Italian port of Trieste. This home is within walking distance from the medieval hill-top town, Motovun and oak forests situated along the Mirna River. The area is famous for its wines and truffles - a gourmet's paradise! It also boasts a newly opened 36-hole golf course - the first in Croatia. For your enjoyment, a riding farm is nearby along with an old railway path, very popular among mountain-bikers and trekkers.

The property boasts an acre of parkland and gardens, with more than 200 mature trees, including some ancient olive trees close to the swimming pool

A general store is within 2km, while the stunning, medieval hilltop Town of Motovun (3km) has further amenities including the restaurant 'Barbacan', which serves fresh local specialties. For one week during the month of July this area is taken over by the hustle and bustle of its international film festival, featuring movie premieres, celebrity appearances and live music. The Adriatic Coast is approximately a 30 minute drive. There is a riding school within 4km and a new 18 hole golf course is due to be opened in 2005 just 2.5km away. Pazin (15km) is home to a medieval castle and a dramatic limestone gorge reputedly an inspiration to Dante when writing his 'Inferno'.
